Banana Split

Banana Split

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • 4 large scoops reduced fat vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup crushed walnuts (these can be substituted with sultanas if your child has a nut allergy)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C
  2. Cut each banana in half longways and wrap in alfoil
  3. Place on baking tray and bake for 10 mins until banana is heated
  4. Mix walnuts and brown sugar together
  5. Unwrap banana and place in bowl, spoon on ice cream and sprinkle with nut mixture
  6. Serve immediately
